Freelance Wedding Photo Editor – Remote

I’m the owner of Amare Studios, a wedding photography and videography studio based in Ontario, Canada. I’m searching for a positive, diligent, and skilled freelance wedding editor! :)

On average, we anticipate needing assistance with about 12 full wedding galleries for the remainder of this year (roughly ---------- images each). Next year, we expect support with approximately 30 weddings from April to October. Some weeks may be busier with multiple weddings, while others may be lighter. If you’re a great fit and show dedication, there’s potential for the role to grow into part-time or full-time as the business expands. Pay is 0.12 cents CAD per Image.

Your Role

- Using Lightroom CC to finalize base AI edits for export, including AI denoise, masking where needed, applying enhanced portrait on all images, and ensuring consistent skin tones.
- Fine-tuning about 600–850 photos per wedding and 100–150 photos per session using a preset I provide.
- Incorporate dodging and burning, cropping, straightening, and adjusting exposure and color temperature (training will be provided on my editing style).
- Select standout images for highlights, teasers, or social media.
- Incorporate feedback to ensure edits meet our style and quality standards.

Workload & Timeline
- For the remainder of this year, assistance is needed for ~12 full wedding galleries, roughly 850 images each.
- Additional sessions as they come, roughly 5–10 extra shoots.
- Looking ahead to next year, we anticipate needing help with approximately 30 weddings from April to October.
- Some weeks may be busier with multiple weddings, while others may be lighter.
- Ideally, someone who can support 5–7 business day turnaround for weddings and 2–3 business day turnaround for sessions.

What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years of professional Lightroom experience.
- Dedicated, loyal, on-time, organized, detail-oriented, creative, and a quick learner.
- Strong English skills.
- Someone who takes responsibility for their work, is excited to edit wedding and couple photos full of emotion, and prides themselves on consistent, high-quality results.
- What We’re NOT Looking For
- Disorganized or struggling with deadlines and structure.
- Poor English communication skills.
- Difficulty taking constructive feedback.
- Unreliable internet connection.

Compensation
- $0.12 CAD per final edited image.
- For example, a wedding gallery of ~850 images would earn approximately $102 CAD once complete.
- Payment will be made biweekly using WISE.
