JOB OVERVIEW

We're launching a brand new YouTube channel dedicated to providing valuable and engaging content for our target audience, and we're looking for a talented Video Editor to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to be a foundational part of a new venture and help shape the voice and style of our channel from the ground up.

As our video editor, you'll be responsible for taking raw footage and transforming it into polished, compelling videos that inform and connect with our viewers. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating high-quality content.

Compensation & Hours:

Rate: $7.50 per hour

Hours: 5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Editing raw video footage into final, high-quality videos for YouTube.

Adding graphics, text overlays, and other visual elements to enhance storytelling.

Sourcing and incorporating royalty-free music and sound effects.

Ensuring brand consistency in all video edits, including colour grading and overall aesthetic.

Working with the content creator to understand the vision for each video and provide creative input.

Exporting and delivering final videos in various formats for different platforms.

Staying up-to-date with current video editing trends and best practices on YouTube/IG/TikTok

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing your work (YouTube links are highly encouraged).

Proficiency in video editing software.

Strong understanding of video and audio compression and various video formats.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
