CAD Drafter / Playground Designer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative CAD Drafter with experience in designing playground layouts and components. You’ll be responsible for translating playground design concepts into precise 2D and 3D CAD models, ensuring they’re safe, functional, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities

* Draft detailed 2D plans and elevations using CAD software.
* Create or adapt 3D models of playground equipment and layouts.
* Work closely with playground designers and project leads to ensure plans meet safety and design standards.
* Incorporate dimensions, material notes, and construction details into sketches.
* Revise drawings based on feedback or regulatory requirements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety codes and ADA guidelines (where applicable).

Requirements

* Proven experience in CAD drafting, ideally with playgrounds, parks, or related outdoor structures.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools.
* Strong spatial awareness with a serious eye for detail.
* Understanding of structural and safety regulations for playground equipment.
* Ability to produce high-quality drawings within set timelines.
* Good English communication skills for clear design discussions.

Nice-to-Have

* Experience with playground-specific design standards or certifications.
* Knowledge of materials commonly used in playground construction.
* 3D rendering or visualization skills for presenting concepts.
