Experienced Bookkeeper Needed

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to join our team. This position involves both catch-up bookkeeping to bring our records current and ongoing monthly maintenance once the books are up to date. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting software and a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Perform catch-up bookkeeping to bring financial records current
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records on a monthly basis
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
Generate financial reports and statements
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Prepare documentation for tax filings and audits
Communicate financial information clearly to management

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks or Xero
Strong proficiency in cloud-based accounting software
Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
Understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP
Experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
Ability to prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
