JOB OVERVIEW

An Australian e-commerce company is seeking experienced customer service staff.

***MUST HAVE PAST EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH AUSTRALIAN BRANDS & REFERENCES ***

Roles

Monitor the company Gmail account for inbound customer emails during designated hours.

Respond to customer enquiries promptly, accurately, and in line with company tone and style.

Follow up with customers regarding outstanding quotes to secure orders.

Place purchase orders with suppliers accurately and in a timely manner.

Coordinate with the team to ensure order details, timelines, and client expectations are met.

Forward or escalate messages to relevant tea ---------- mbers when necessary.

Maintain a clear, organised Gmail inbox through proper labelling, archiving, and filtering.

Track common enquiries to identify trends and suggest improvements to FAQs or processes.

Provide general administrative support to assist the wider team as required.

Maintain confidentiality of all customer and company information.

Requirements:

Excellent written communication skills in English.

Strong attention to detail, grammar, and spelling.

Previous experience in customer service, administration, or sales support (preferred).

Experience following up on quotes and/or processing purchase orders.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organisational skills and email management proficiency.

Familiarity with Gmail features such as labels, filters, and search functions.

Familiarity with Shopify..

Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with CRM systems or shared inbox tools.


Ability to draft professional yet warm responses in line with brand voice.

Work Hours:

Flexible, but must be able to check and respond to emails promptly within agreed timeframes (e.g., every 2–3 hours during business days).
