Expert Video Editor

We’re looking for a talented video editor to join our growing YouTube team.

About the Role
You’ll be editing up to 8 videos per month (roughly 2 per week), each running between 12–20 minutes. These are documentary-style YouTube videos focused on commercial aviation - from aircraft histories to airline operations and emerging aviation tech.

Each project includes:
- A provided script and voiceover
- Clear creative direction
- Templates for motion graphics

But you’ll be expected to bring the footage and storytelling to life: and that’s where your aviation knowledge matters.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Edit full-length YouTube videos using scripts and voiceovers we provide
- Source highly relevant aviation footage – for example, if the video is about the Airbus A380, we need footage only of the A380 (You’ll have access to Storyblocks and Envanto Elements to help, but YouTube sourcing will be part of the job)
- Create up 1-2 minutes of map animations per video using GEOlayers
- Implement motion graphics using provided templates
- Add sound design and audio mixing to elevate the storytelling
- Apply transitions and visual pacing techniques to keep viewer attention high
- Optimize for YouTube retention, with engaging visuals, cuts, and structure
- Deliver videos on time to an agreed-upon schedule (usually 2 per week)

What We’re Looking For:
- Fluency in commercial aviation content: you should know major aircraft, airline terminology, and be able to source accurate footage accordingly
- Proficiency in professional video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe After Effects
- Experience with map animation tools like GEOlayers (or a willingness to learn fast)
- Strong motion graphics skills (using provided templates)
- Great attention to detail in both video and sound
- A self-starter who can work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality work
