We’re looking for a skilled graphic designer with experience creating high-quality social media graphics in Canva.
You’ll be creating on-brand graphics for social media — mainly Instagram — including single-image posts, carousels, reels covers, stories, and quote graphics. Occasionally, we may need visuals for other platforms such as
We will provide brand assets, creative direction, and references for each project.
This role will start with short-term, paid project work to evaluate fit, with the potential for ongoing work for the right designer. We may hire multiple people depending on skills, turnaround speed, and availability.
Requirements:
- Portfolio required — must include examples of social media graphics you created
- Proficiency in Canva
- Proficient in English
- Strong design skills with a focus on readability — balancing aesthetics with clear, easy-to-read text on mobile
- Understanding of social media design best practices
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and creative direction
- Reliable communication and consistent delivery
- Experience using Notion or other project management tools (short training provided)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Illustrator or Photoshop or similar design software
- Familiarity with branding and creating visuals for new campaigns
- Availability for edits in the morning (US Central Time)
- If you have experience with other social media assistant tasks such as scheduling, engagement, research, or strategy, please mention it in your application — we are growing and will be hiring for these skills in the future (not necessary for this job but a plus if you can do more than design)
- Experience creating logos
Turnaround and Availability:
Most designs must be completed within 24 hours of assignment (Monday–Friday, US Central Time). Same-day turnaround is ideal but not required — if you can do this, please note it in your application!
If a design is assigned during my workday, it should be completed and ready by the time I start work the following morning (US Central Time). Some time zone overlap with US Central Time is a huge bonus but not required. If you cannot overlap with my workday, overnight during my time zone is fine as long as the work is completed by ~9am Central Time the next day.
Being available for edits in the morning or during my time zone would be ideal but not required. For longer projects, availability is more flexible and will be discussed ahead of time.
