Bloom and Grow Lactation is a one-physician, newly opening lactation medicine and newborn care clinic based in Ridgeland, Mississippi. We provide compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based care to breastfeeding families. Our mission is to support new parents during one of the most challenging and rewarding times of their lives — the newborn period.
We are seeking a Certified Medical Biller & Coder who can also serve as a Medical Assistant, supporting both the administrative and clinical sides of the practice.

Position Type:
In-person, Part-Time or Full-Time (based on candidate availability)
Long-term position — we are seeking someone who can grow with our practice.
Responsibilities:
Medical Billing & Coding
Accurately code patient visits and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely payment.
Correct and resubmit rejected claims promptly.
Medical Assistant & Clinic Support
Assist with clinic flow, including patient intake and documentation in the EMR (IntakeQ preferred).
Answer phone calls with warmth, empathy, and professionalism — especially for new parents who may be struggling in the postpartum period.
Take inventory of medical and office supplies; restock and place orders as needed.
Create patient education materials, handouts, and product labels in Canva.
Help prepare and package clinic products (e.g., nipple care items, herbal supplements).
Maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace.
Requirements:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent medical billing and coding certification.
Experience checking insurance eligibility and benefits.
Experience with EMR systems (IntakeQ preferred or similar).
Proficiency with Canva for simple marketing and educational materials.
Strong phone communication skills with a warm, empathetic demeanor.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a pediatric, OB/GYN, or lactation medicine setting.
Familiarity with lactation-related diagnoses and billing codes.
Experience managing medical supply inventory.
