We’re currently hiring a Copywriter + Social Media Assistant.

This is a casual/part-time role starting at 10 hours per week, with the potential to grow into full time with the right candidate. It’s fully remote, with weekly Zoom check-ins and flexible hours.

So what kind of work do you do in this role?

Summed up, we are looking for the person in this role to be responsible for writing strategic captions for a range of industries from cosmetics to tattoos as well as managing the client's socials.

Copywriting Responsibilities:

- Write clear, strategic, and personality-packed captions across a range of industries (from beauty to comedy to hospitality)
- Understand brand tone and speak directly to the ideal audience
- Use hooks that actually work on social media right now not “we have a sale” but why it matters
- Write copy that supports conversions, brand trust, and community
- Knows how to utlise AI to help you work more efficiently (not generic prompts)
- Collaborate with our creative team to write text for static graphics, carousels, and Reels when needed

Social Media Assistant Responsibilities:

- Do 1hr community engagement every week (e.g. replying to comments and DMs)
- Upload and schedule posts to Planable
- Check over published posts for accuracy and formatting
- Upload and format Instagram Stories (using provided assets)
- Be able to keep a look out on trending ideas we can adapt for our clients.
- Able to analyse current content and make inform decisions on how to make it better from there.
- Ad-hoc Reels editing if you like video editing

We are looking for someone that:

- Have experience writing for social media (not long blogs—shorter, strategic captions!) or education
- Hangs out on social media on a regular and keep up with trends on Instagram and TikTok
- Understand how marketing works. Not just making things pretty, but purposeful.
- Are detail-oriented, responsible, and take ownership of your work
- Want to learn, grow, and take initiative without being micromanaged
- Care about helping small businesses genuinely show up better online
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong foundation in copywritting frameworks.
- Understanding of commercial outcome for business and fundamental marketing concepts.
- Have either copywriting experience or education
- Be able to work to deadlines.
- Be reliable in engagement for clients.

This role is hands-on and will keep you growing personally and professionally. Currently starting at 15 hours per week with the potential for more hours and responsibility for the right candidate.

The role is flexible with the ability to work from home. We are looking to help you grow your copywriting skills with training and upskilling provided.
