JOB OVERVIEW

Life In…Magazines is a community-focused publishing business producing three much-loved magazines in the Borough of Bromley. We recently developed a mobile app (using ---------- ) which is already live for iOS. We now need an experienced professional to guide us through the process of getting the app approved and available on Google Play for Android users—and also help us rename the app and update the developer name on both iOS and Android platforms.

Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced submission specialist who can:
• Manage the approval process of our Android app on the Google Play Store, ensuring full compliance with their policies.
• Oversee the renaming of the app and the developer’s name for both iOS and Android stores, coordinating with developers and platform requirements.
• Provide guidance and handle the submission process on both Google Play and iOS App Store platforms.

Key Responsibilities
• Review the existing Android app build for Google Play compliance and liaise with the developer to address any technical or policy issues.
• Manage the renaming process of the app and developer name on both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring smooth implementation and compliance.
• Prepare and configure the Google Play Console listing and App Store Connect listing, including app descriptions, categorisation, screenshots, and metadata.
• Upload and submit the app(s) for review on both platforms, troubleshoot any issues flagged by Google or Apple during the approval process.
• Provide regular updates on progress and best practice advice to ensure compliance and successful launches.
• Offer guidance on post-launch updates, maintenance, and store optimisation.

Requirements
• Proven experience successfully submitting and getting apps approved on Google Play and the iOS App Store.
• Strong knowledge of Google Play and Apple App Store policies and guidelines (content, privacy, technical requirements).
• Experience managing app signing, release management, and developer account settings on both platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot rejection reasons and resolve issues promptly.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and liaise with developers.

Desirable
• Experience working with small businesses or community-focused organisations.
• Familiarity with renaming apps and updating developer names on both platforms.
