Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineer with a strong background in detailed structural drawings and a keen eye for accuracy. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, structural detailing, and Advance Steel software, with the ability to produce precise fabrication drawings and collaborate effectively with designers, architects, and construction teams. Knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and revise detailed structural drawings for steel and concrete structures.

Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and Advance Steel.

Produce fabrication and assembly drawings for prefabricated and structural steel components.

Ensure all drawings comply with Australian Building Codes, Standards, and project specifications.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to resolve design and detailing challenges.

Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy before release for construction or fabrication.

Maintain organized drawing files and version control.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural detailing.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and structural detailing standards.

Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and connection detailing.

In-depth knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.

Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)

Experience with BIM workflows and integration.

Knowledge of Tekla Structures or Revit (Structural).

Experience with Australian steel and concrete design codes (AS4100, AS3600, etc.).
