One-Time Web Scraper Build for Bank Data (Google Sheets Output) – $500 Fixed Price + Full-Time Opportunity

DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for an experienced Python Automation & Web Scraping developer to build a one-time scraper tool.

The goal: Take our existing list of ~5,000 banks, automatically visit their sites, extract specific product data (credit card/business bank account details), and send results directly into a Google Sheet in the exact format we provide.

If everything works out, there’s a strong opportunity to transition into a full-time position maintaining and expanding this tool.

Before Full Project:
We will start with a $15 paid test run. This will be a small sample of the work so we can see your approach, code quality, and communication style before awarding the full $500 gig.

Scope of Work:

Review our existing sample spreadsheet for required data fields.

Build a scraper (Playwright, Selenium, or similar) that:

Visits each bank’s website.

Locates product details (interest rates, features, etc.).

Fills in our Google Sheet automatically.

Handles basic anti-bot protections.

Provide clear, step-by-step written instructions on:

How to run the scraper.

How to edit/update it for future changes.

How the code works (so I can understand and maintain it).

Walk me through the process once via call or recorded video so I can learn from you.

Deliverables:

Fully working scraper.

Google Sheet integration with successful sample run.

Source code & clear instructions.

Delivered within 7 days.

Budget & Payment Terms:

$15 for initial test run.

$500 USD fixed price for the full project if hired.

30% upfront for full project.

70% on delivery of final working scraper.

Nice-to-Have (Not Required):

Experience building scrapers for financial websites.

Ability to create a simple desktop or web app interface.

Willingness to do occasional future updates for a fixed rate.
