We’re a fast-growing digital media brand focused on Native Black American history, genealogy, and culture. Our content reaches thousands weekly across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram — and we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for a highly motivated video editor / virtual assistant who can take our long-form video content and transform it into powerful, short-form clips for social media. If you’re someone with an eye for storytelling, a love for culture and history, and a knack for streamlining digital workflows — you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

???? What You’ll Do

Edit 1+ hour livestreams and long-form videos down into:

20-min, 15-min, and 10-min highlights for YouTube

2-min and under clips for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts


Add captions, graphics, transitions, and branding to all short-form content

Use tools like Opus Clips, CapCut, or Descript to streamline editing (or suggest your own tools)

Organize edited files for upload and keep track of publishing schedules

Occasionally assist with light virtual assistant tasks (research, file management, content planning, etc.)

? You Might Be a Great Fit If You…

Are experienced in short-form content editing for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts

Know how to find compelling 30–60 second segments from a longer video

Can work independently and stick to deadlines

Have experience using Opus Clip, CapCut, Descript, or Adobe Premiere

Have a strong understanding of internet culture, Black/Indigenous history topics a plus

Are flexible and eager to grow into a larger role as the brand expands
