Startup Financial Modeler & Accountant

We are a startup consulting firm that helps founders craft investor-ready pitch decks and business plans. We're looking for a detail-oriented Startup Financial Modeler & Accountant to join our team on a part-time or project basis. Your role will focus on building robust 5-year financial models (cash flow, P&L, and balance sheets) based on business plans and notes we provide. You’ll help assess financial feasibility and ensure models align with the startup’s go-to-market and funding strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
? Read and interpret business plans to extract key financial drivers
? Build 5-year financial forecasts including revenue, cost, cash flow, and capex
? Prepare investor-ready spreadsheets (Google Sheets preferred)
? Conduct break-even analysis, scenario planning, and basic valuation modeling
? Ensure outputs are clear, accurate, and aligned with the overall business strategy
? Communicate with our team (and occasionally clients) to clarify assumptions
? Coordinate with our VA and designers to package deliverables neatly

Requirements:
? Experience building startup financial models (preferably for pre-seed to Series A)
? Strong command of unit economics, SaaS or COGS-based models, and investor expectations
? Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
? Excellent attention to detail
? Bonus: Experience working with AI tools or templates, and knowledge of GPT
? Bonus: Experience writing business plans.
