JOB TITLE: Data Researcher – Outdoor Industry Intelligence

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough research to identify companies and products in the outdoor industry globally (e.g., RV manufacturers, overlanding gear, boating accessories).
- Compile and organize data into structured lists and databases.
- Verify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all information gathered.
- Utilize tools such as online databases, directories, and other research platforms to source information.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new market entrants to expand and refresh the datasets regularly.
- Support data curation processes, ensuring the platform's data remains current and relevant.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the data aligns with the overall goals of the intelligence platform.
- Learn to learn and leverage automated scraping and tools to collect and compile large datasets.

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a researcher, data analyst, or similar role is preferred, ideally within market research or the outdoor industry, but NOT required.
- A passion for the outdoors and/or a willingness to learn the outdoor industry dynamics (e.g., camping, RVs, overlanding, boating, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in online research, with the ability to identify and gather relevant information from diverse sources.
- Ability to compile data into organized and accessible formats such as Excel, Google Sheets, or databases.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data collection and entry.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

As a Researcher, you will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and maintaining comprehensive datasets of companies and products in the outdoor industry globally, with a primary focus on the US market. An example project would be building a complete list of every RV manufacturer in the world.
