WordPress Developer (HivePress Expert) – Service Marketplace Customization

Job Description:

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable WordPress developer with experience customizing HivePress and the ExpertHive theme.

Our platform is a service marketplace (similar to Thumbtack) where clients hire providers for different services. We’ve already installed the ExpertHive theme — now we need your help to customize and enhance it.

Key Responsibilities:


- Customize booking workflow with escrow-style payment system

- Modify quote/request system so clients invite providers to submit quotes

- Enable messaging lock until booking fee is paid

- Filter provider results based on client’s zip code/location

- Adjust frontend to match a clean, modern, mobile-first layout

- Ensure responsiveness, speed, and UX quality across devices

- Integrate with Stripe or WooCommerce for secure payments

- (Bonus) Help with future integrations: reviews, notifications, dashboard views



Design Style We Like:


- Clean UI, modern buttons, card layouts, soft shadows

- Mobile-friendly and intuitive experience


Requirements:


- Strong experience with WordPress, HivePress, and ExpertHive

- Solid PHP, CSS, and JS skills

- Familiar with WooCommerce or Stripe integration**

- Can work independently and follow clear instructions

- Good communication skills in English

- Able to deliver work on agreed timelines

- Workload: Part-time or project-based, with potential for long-term

- Pay via Wise, PayPal, or preferred local method
