JOB OVERVIEW

Digital QA Tester, Job Description | Conversionry

“We help brands fix revenue-leaks and increase website conversions.”
At Conversionry, we believe the smallest details can have the biggest impact. As Australia’s leading eCommerce CRO agency, we use evidence-based experimentation to uncover user problems and solve them with precision, resulting in measurable conversion-rate growth for DTC brands worldwide.
As we grow, we’re looking for a Digital QA Tester to join our team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of ensuring every A/B test and website experience we deliver is of the highest quality, pixel-perfect, functional, and customer-ready. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, project managers, designers, and CRO specialists to spot issues before they go live.
This fully remote / hybrid part-time role reports to the Delivery Lead, and is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced agency environments, has sharp attention to detail, and understands how to QA eCommerce experiences across platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, and WordPress.

Why You’ll Love Working With Conversionry:
You’ll be part of a passionate team of A-players helping brands grow through evidence-based experimentation.
We’re a fully remote/hybrid team and you can work from home and the office.
You’ll work closely with experienced CRO strategists, designers, and developers.
You'll get 20 days per year of annual holiday leave (prorated to part time hours).
You’ll get 5 days per year of sick/personal leave (prorated to part time hours).
You’ll get all the State of Victoria public holidays (prorated to part time hours).
We’ll give you an extra 5% of your monthly salary to go toward your choice of HMO/insurance plan.
As an end-of-year bonus, we pay our Philippines team the 13th month’s pay.
You’ll have the chance to grow with a high-performance, high-learning team, while having autonomy over your role.

How You'll Contribute to Our CRO Success:
As a Digital QA Tester, your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality are paramount to our CRO mission. You will directly contribute by:
Executing Comprehensive Tests: You'll create and execute detailed manual test cases for websites, landing pages, themes, and A/B test variations, ensuring robust quality assurance.
Ensuring Pixel Perfection: You'll meticulously compare final website builds against Figma or Photoshop designs to guarantee pixel perfection and UX alignment.
Managing Defects Efficiently: You'll identify, log, and clearly document bugs and quality issues with structured reports, enabling quick resolution by the development team.
Collaborating on Strategy: You'll work closely with developers and project managers to flag blockers early, suggest test coverage improvements, and align on test strategy.
Overseeing Multiple Projects: You'll expertly manage QA across multiple concurrent projects, clients, and time zones, ensuring no details are missed.
Utilizing Key Tools: You'll leverage tools like LambdaTest, BrowserStack, and Google Chrome DevTools to test functionality and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
Driving Continuous Improvement: You'll proactively contribute to our quality process by suggesting improvements in test scope, QA workflows, or tooling.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
To thrive in this role, you'll need a blend of technical skills, an analytical mindset, and strong communication abilities:
Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in a QA tester or website testing role (agency environment preferred).
eCommerce QA Expertise: Experience testing eCommerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, or WordPress.
Multi-Project Management: Proven ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced digital/agency setting.
Testing Fundamentals: Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, UX best practices, and web standards.
Design Validation: Experience using Figma (or Photoshop) to validate front-end implementation against designs.
Documentation Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and structured test cases and bug reports.
QA Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with QA tools like LambdaTest, BrowserStack, Trello, or equivalents.
Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and excellent at following up without being asked.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills especially in remote settings.
Workflow Understanding: Understanding of development workflows and versioned releases.

Bonus Points For:
Experience testing A/B tests or CRO experiments via platforms like ---------- , AB Tasty, Optimizely, or VWO.
Experience preparing QA documentation for client visibility.
Ability to provide structured input on user documentation or help guides.
Comfortable with minor HTML/CSS inspection or tweaking (not essential, but nice to have).

What We’re Not Looking For:
???? Testers who only have automation testing experience in software/dev teams (this role requires eCommerce and front-end QA testing).
???? Candidates who aren’t used to juggling multiple QA projects at once.
???? Passive team members - we value proactive communicators who take initiative and don’t wait to be told what to do.
