iGaming Sr DevOps / Solution Architect

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure solutions across our backend and infrastructure stack. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform architecture, from database design and cloud infrastructure to performance optimization and data integrity.

This is a strategic, high-impact role requiring deep expertise in backend systems, PostgreSQL, AWS infrastructure, and modern DevOps best practices. If you thrive on system design, care deeply about reliability and scalability, and want to build the foundation of something big, this role is for you.

What You Will Do:

- Solution Architecture and Systems Design
Design end-to-end backend and infrastructure solutions with scalability, security, and maintainability in mind

- Create architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and data models

- Evaluate and recommend backend frameworks, tools, and platforms

- Database and Data Modeling
Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL schemas on Cloud SQL

- Define strategies for data integrity, validation, and performance

- Implement and maintain data models that reflect key business logic

Cloud Infrastructure:

- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS

- Implement cost-effective, secure, and scalable infrastructure

- Set up robust monitoring and alerting using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Stackdriver

Data Integrity and Recovery:

- Enforce data integrity through ---------- , validation (Zod or class-validator), and idempotent API design

- Own backup and recovery strategy including PITR, read replicas, and restore drills

- Ensure failover and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place

Collaboration and Leadership:

- Partner with engineering, product, and leadership to align architecture with business goals

- Mentor engineers and promote best practices across the team

- Lead technical discussions and drive critical architectural decisions

What We Are Looking:

- 8+ years in backend development, ideally in high-scale environments. Experience in iGaming is a plus

- 5+ years in solution architecture or infrastructure design

- Strong background in Agile environments and cross-functional collaboration

Technical Skills

- Expert in PostgreSQL, with strong relational design and performance tuning skills

- Skilled in Prisma ORM, Redis, BullMQ, and RESTful API design

- Extensive experience with AWS including EC2, RDS, S3, and other services

- Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI

- Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools including Grafana, Prometheus, and Stackdriver

- Familiarity with immutable logging, point-in-time recovery, and cross-region infrastructure

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Self-starter who can work independently

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
