JOB OVERVIEW

I’m looking for a reliable and experienced IT Support Specialist to assist with various technical tasks on a project basis. This is not a full-time or part-time position, but rather as-needed work when technical issues arise related to employee setup, Microsoft 365, or other software tools we use in our insurance business.

You will be helping troubleshoot and resolve real-time issues with remote staff, including employees in the Philippines. For example, recent issues include sharing OneDrive folders with an assistant who is unable to access files on her end. We need someone who can jump in quickly to diagnose and resolve these types of challenges.

Responsibilities may include:
Remote onboarding support for new hires (setting up email, access to shared drives, etc.)

Troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and Outlook issues (login, sync, password, security)

Setting up and resolving issues with OneDrive and SharePoint shared folders

Basic networking or remote desktop troubleshooting

Helping ensure smooth communication between U.S.-based and Philippine-based tea ---------- mbers

Guiding tea ---------- mbers on basic software usage or access issues

Requirements:
Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint)

Familiarity with remote tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Zoom for remote troubleshooting

Ability to work flexible hours (ideally overlapping with Pacific Standard Time)

Excellent communication skills in English

A problem-solving mindset with minimal handholding

Work Arrangement:
Project-based only, not part-time or full-time

Work is on-call or assigned per issue

You will be compensated either hourly or per project depending on the nature of the task

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $6–$8 USD depending on experience
OR

Fixed Fee: For larger tasks, we may negotiate a flat project fee based on complexity
