# Freelance PHP Developer – Sports Data Scraping System (5–10 Sports)

I am hiring an experienced PHP developer to build a robust, scalable, and intelligent sports data scraper. The system must handle Cloudflare-protected websites and extract structured data across 5 to 10 sports, including football and basketball.

#Project Overview

I need a scraping engine that:

* Handles 5 to 10 sports dynamically (football, basketball, tennis, etc.).
* Supports scraping data from the last 5+ seasons up to the current season.
* Stores structured statistics and scores per sport format (e.g., quarters for basketball, halves for football).
* Is resilient, modular, and easy to extend to new leagues or sports.

#Responsibilities
# Data Collection:

* Scrape match data, stats, and scores for each sport:

* Football: first half, second half, full-time – scores & stats.
* Basketball: per quarter, 1st half, 2nd half.
* Future sports: tennis, baseball, cricket, etc. (modular input parsing).
* Scrape historical and live data – from 5 years ago to current season.
* Handle dynamic league lists and seasonal changes.

#Bypassing & Reliability:

* Bypass Cloudflare protection using techniques like:
* PHP
* Headless browsers (via external services or APIs).
* Robust anti-bot solutions (proxy rotation, user-agent spoofing, retries).
* Handle rotating proxies and emulate human-like behavior.
* Worker, also API (ability to run on local or be launched via API to fetch saved items or to start the worker).

# Storage & Integration:

* Store temporary data in Redis during scraping sessions.
* Persist data in both MYSQL (production) and SQLite (local/offline use).
* Ensure structured, normalized data formats that support prediction.

# Code Quality & Maintainability:

* Modular, object-oriented PHP codebase.
* Configurable and dynamic league/sport configurations.
* Logging, monitoring, and error-handling systems.
* Ability to schedule scrapes (CLI, CRON-compatible).

#Tech Requirements

* Expert-level PHP developer (OOP, cURL, Guzzle).
* Parallel processing or scrapping, such that we can scrape multiple leagues St once, while each process picks proxies from the pool to use.
* Strong experience bypassing Cloudflare and anti-bot protections.
* Experience with proxy rotation and HTTP fingerprinting in scraping.
* Familiarity with MySQL, SQLite, and Redis for PHP.
* Comfortable building tools to support large-scale scraping across multiple sports and leagues.
* Bonus: Knowledge of sports structures, stats, and match logic.

#Deliverables

* A fully functional scraper for at least one sport and multiple leagues as proof of concept.
* Extensible system that allows adding more sports and leagues with minimal effort.
* Database schema(s) and PHP scripts for data population.
* Setup guide, logs, and cron jobs for automation
