General VA & Bookkeeping Support (Shopify E-commerce)

Company Overview:

We are an e-commerce business specializing in the sale of fishing tackle, both through our online Shopify store and wholesale to other retailers. As our business grows, we are seeking a detail-oriented and autonomous General VA to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping, inventory, and customer support.

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a reliable and personable General VA with a strong background in e-commerce to support our business operations. This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy in our financial records and inventory management, while also providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be numbers-focused and attentive to detail, helping us streamline our backend processes so we can focus on growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Reconciliation:
Perform basic bookkeeping tasks.
Reconcile accounts, including cross-referencing invoices and purchase orders.
Manage accounts receivable.
Support reconciliation in Xero, cross-checking data from Shopify.

E-commerce & Inventory Management:
Manage inventory and stock levels within Shopify.
Potentially assist with an inventory program like Unleashed that syncs with Xero & Shopify (specific software skills are not essential as systems may change).

Conduct regular stock takes.

Customer Support:
Provide customer support via email in a friendly and professional manner.

General Administration:
Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks and research as needed.

Pre-requisites:
Strong E-commerce Experience: A solid history with Shopify and inventory/stock management.
Bookkeeping Skills: Experience with accounts receivable and reconciliation.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Xero. Experience with inventory programs like Unleashed is a plus.
Personality: Personable, friendly, and autonomous with a high attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent customer communication and support skills.
Mindset: Numbers-based and detail-oriented.

Hours & Compensation:
Initial Hours: 10-15 hours per week; flexible working schedule within Australian Western Timezone
Growth Potential: Possibility of extending hours in the future.
Rate: ?280 PHP per hour.
Bonus: 13th-month bonus.
