Accountant Controller

We operate 8 Dunkin’ stores and 1 beer distributor in the U.S. and are hiring a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to manage full-cycle accounting, reporting, and compliance. This is a long-term part-time role (~10 hrs/week) with direct access to ownership and full control over wholesale finance. Each entity has about 200 transactions/month, 95–99% recurring. Each entity has about 200 transactions/month, 95–99% recurring. Most are handled via memorized transactions in QuickBooks Online, with only 3–5 new entries per month. ChatGPT estimates the workload at approximately 20 hours per week.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain QuickBooks Online for all businesses
Daily reconciliation (bank, credit card, cash, POS)
Monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
File sales tax, liquor excise, payroll, and business taxes
Handle license renewals and compliance filings
Liaise with U.S. tax accountants and ownership

QUALIFICATIONS
CPA with 2+ years U.S. accounting experience
Strong in QBO, Google Sheets/Excel, GAAP
Available ~10 hrs/week, with 5 hrs during U.S. EST hours
Dedicated work computer with 2 screens, reliable high-speed internet


BONUS
Experience with an US based QSR, franchise, or retail ops
Significant experience with Forms 1040, 1120S, and exposure to 1120/1065
Familiarity with payroll systems or POS reconciliation
