Graphic Designer

NOTE TO APPLICANTS & PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS: We are now in the paid design skills test phase, after receiving so many excellent applications. (August 3, 2025)

I am looking for a VA with graphic design skills for one project, but if this project succeeds and we are a good team, I expect additional similar projects in the near future, ongoing until I have designs for all the product levels. I already have the basic text and clipart designs for a custom pillowcase, but I need someone to create my pillowcase design, layout, and format my current clipart and text (that was previously designed for my Bible educational resource for children to memorize Scripture).

My current designer at the company that will produce the pillowcases continues to delay the design project, so I need someone that can make my vision become reality so we can get this into production. Once the format and original design is complete, the future designs will just be switching out the colors, text/verses and clipart to match the program cycle of materials.

At this time, I am looking for a graphic designer, but ultimately someone with website, marketing and social media skills would be an asset to help me get this to a greater audience than the current small business base of churches with this Bible memory program. I have a sample picture of my basic idea, but I am also looking for some creative ideas on the design to make it fun and colorful for children, and more professional-looking rather than basic cut and paste, so hopefully it will sell better and be useful to the children memorizing Scripture.

You can use any graphics program such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, or Canva, that can accomplish the above in reasonable timing, but you will need to have your own access to the software, as I do not have any of those programs.

Communication and honesty is very important to me, so I welcome any questions, and I will provide prompt feedback, and desire to work as a team.

Before final hiring and to help me understand your skill level and qualifications, I will require a design skills test that I will pay you for your time.

In addition to skills, preference on hiring will be given to the applicant that has a strong interest in the subject matter of my company. ( ---------- )
