Sunrise Systems is a fast growing multi service marketing agency that helps commercial construction companies increase revenue through cold email outreach, CRM follow ups, brand positioning, and content marketing. With monthly revenue currently at $25K and an aggressive target of $100K/month by year end, the company is expanding its internal software team to keep pace with demand.

Role Overview
We are seeking a UI focused Front End Developer to own the look, feel, and performance of our client facing portals (Member Portal, Client Portal) and internal dashboards. You will work alongside our Lead Developer and newly hired QA Specialist to implement pixel perfect interfaces, refine animations, and ensure a seamless user experience across the stack—primarily built with Node.js, Next.js, and Postgres.

Key Responsibilities
• UI Enhancements & Feature Delivery – Implement requests such as widening task boards, refining login/loading animations, and enabling inline task name editing.
• Design Consistency – Standardize typography, shading, and motion across all pages; ensure component libraries and style guides remain coherent.
• Front End Development – Build and refactor React/Next.js components, integrate Airtable based data sources, and optimize page performance.
• Version Control & Code Quality – Work in GitHub (branches, pull requests, issues) and conduct self reviews plus peer reviews with the Lead Developer.
• Unit & Integration Testing – Write tests for new and updated UI features; collaborate with QA to close defects rapidly.
• Documentation – Maintain clear, developer friendly docs for features, workflows, and component usage to support future team scaling.
• Collaboration & Agile Workflow – Attend weekly syncs, break down Fathom/GPT transcripts into actionable tasks, and update the bug tracking board.

Requirements
• Proven AI assisted development proficiency with Cursor and/or Claude Code (must have).
• Strong coding fundamentals paired with practical, day to day Cursor usage.
• 2+ years professional front end experience with React and Next.js (or similar SSR frameworks).
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript skills; ability to deliver responsive, accessible UIs.
• Familiarity with Prisma, PostgreSQL, and REST/GraphQL API consumption.
• Comfort using Cursor (AI pair programming editor) and standard DevOps tooling (GitHub Actions, cloud code deployment).
• Experience writing unit/integration tests with Jest, React Testing Library, or comparable frameworks.
• Solid grasp of Git workflows, GitHub Issues, and code review best practices.
• Eye for design and motion—capable of translating Figma or similar design specs into polished components.
• Self starter who can thrive in a fast paced, remote startup
• Exposure to Airtable or other no code back end platforms.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization patterns in Next.js (e.g., NextAuth).
• Experience optimizing bundle sizes and Core Web Vitals for high traffic dashboards.
