What you’ll do

Edit 1–3 long?form videos per week (8–12 minutes each) from script + VO + b?roll/memes.

Add contextual memes/B?roll that elevate the joke/point (no spam).

Basic color correction and clean, legible on?screen text (lower?thirds/quotes).

Export, compress, and deliver source project + assets with clean folder structure.

Must?have skills

Expert cutting speed and story sense for commentary.

Strong meme literacy and timing (sourcing safe, relevant overlays).

J/L cuts, speed ramps, digital zooms, subtle motion graphics, kinetic text (sparingly).

Audio cleanup (EQ, noise reduction), consistent VO loudness.

Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve proficiency (we use shared drives; XML/DRP okay).

Nice?to?haves

Frame.io or Google Drive workflow, multi?cam experience, subtitles (auto + polish).

Thumbnail collaboration awareness (pull freeze frames, export .png stills).

Can cut 9:16/1:1 Shorts from long?form beats.

Tools we use

Google Drive / Frame.io for reviews

Adobe CC or DaVinci Resolve

(We provide: branding kit, fonts, SFX, music pack, meme folder)

Schedule & Communication

2–4 hours overlap with AEST (Melbourne) for feedback.

24–48h turnaround for first draft on 8–10 min videos (once you know our style).

Daily updates during edit (“cut rough complete,” “SFX pass done,” “final render uploading”).

Compensation

Per?video (long?form 8–12 min): USD $120–$220 depending on complexity & trial results.
(Top?tier editors on our roster earn $200–$325/video for complex packages.)

Shorts (30–60s): USD $15–$35 each (batch rates available).

Paid test: USD $25 for a 60–90s trial edit (see “How to Apply”).

Raises/bonuses for retention results, speed, and reliability.

How to apply (read carefully)

Subject line: I edit fast – [Your Name] – [Premiere or Resolve]

Portfolio: 3 links to long?form commentary you edited (not trailers or wedding reels).

60?sec Loom: Walk through a timeline from a past video. Show your cut decisions, audio chain, and how you place memes/SFX to keep pace.

Answer (short):

a) What’s your typical loudness target (LUFS) for YouTube VO?

b) Your top 5 SFX you use for pacing (names or types).

c) One channel you think has perfect commentary pacing and why.

Paid test: Confirm you can complete a 60–90 sec test within 48 hours once we send assets.

Applicants who skip any step won’t be considered.
