Shopify Web Developer – Custom Automation, Feature Development & Customer Analytics

We are an eCommerce company based in the U.S. running a Shopify wholesale store. We're looking for a Shopify Web Developer who can help upgrade our website and build custom solutions that align with our internal operations.

We currently use various apps, but many do not fully meet our business needs. You will help us automate daily/weekly/monthly tasks, develop custom functionality, and help us better understand our customers using order data.

Key Responsibilities:
???? Shopify Customization & Automation

Customize and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Build custom scripts or lightweight backend tools to automate internal workflows

Develop features such as:

Low inventory email alerts by vendor

Backordered item reports (daily/weekly)

Auto-response when a customer enters a PO Box shipping address

???? Customer Order-Based Analytics

Analyze customer order history to identify high-value customers, repeat buyers, and trends

Segment customers by purchase behavior, frequency, or average order value

Generate regular customer reports to support marketing and inventory strategy

Work with marketing team to improve retention and personalization based on data insights

???? Site Maintenance & Issue Resolution

Debug issues related to orders, inventory syncing, or storefront functionality

Suggest and implement improvements to streamline workflows and user experience

Preferred Skills:
Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript

Basic knowledge of customer analytics and data reporting

Familiarity with APIs and Shopify webhooks

Comfortable using Excel or data tools for reports

Clear and timely communication in English

We are open to part-time to start, and if the collaboration goes well and we see long-term potential, we are open to offering a permanent position.
