AgriVigor Green Farms is a flagship sustainable agriculture initiative by Bottom Billion Corporation (BBC) in joint venture with Interfarm N.V., dedicated to transforming organic farming systems in Suriname. The project integrates regenerative farming, biodiversity preservation, climate-smart techniques, and export-focused agribusiness to empower local economies and ensure global food security.
AgriVigor is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Deputy Project Manager (DPM) to assist with the strategic and operational leadership of a large-scale agricultural project focused on organic crop cultivation. The ideal applicant will be responsible for promoting sustainable farming practices, increasing yield quality, and driving profitability through produce export projects. This role combines agronomic innovation, environmental stewardship, and international trade.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring organic farming operations across commercial-scale blocks.
-Collaborate with the Field Project Manager to develop annual planting schedules, harvest forecasts, and resource allocation strategies.
-Ensure compliance with organic farming standards and environmental sustainability protocols.
-Monitor agronomic performance, including crop health, pest management, crop rotation, soil management strategies, and biodiversity preservation.
-Monitor market trends and pricing strategies to maximize revenue while adhering to ethical and sustainable principles.
-Collaborate with logistics and compliance teams to streamline supply chain processes and meet international export standards.
-Maintain accurate records of key performance indicators such as sustainability metrics, farm inputs, yield rates, and export revenue for reporting and decision-making.
-Cultivate partnerships with stakeholders, vendors, and certification bodies to advance project goals.
-Ensure compliance with USDA Organic, EU Organic, and Global G.A.P. standards through ESG-aligned protocols.
-Support the rollout of the AgriVigor replication toolkit for expansion across CARICOM.
-Oversee daily farming operations across modular commercial-scale blocks.
-Implement regenerative practices such as composting, intercropping, crop rotation, and solar irrigation.
-Manage end-to-end crop value chains for crops like moringa, turmeric, ginger, cassava, and medicinal herbs.
-Supervise and mentor field teams and facilitate the Training-to-Employment Program for youth and women.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Agribusiness, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
-At least 5 years of experience in commercial organic farming, including exposure to export-oriented agribusiness.
-In-depth understanding of organic farming practices, environmental compliance, and sustainable land use.
-Proficiency with data analysis, project management tools, and agricultural monitoring software.
-Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge in Organic Agriculture Production is a strong advantage, including familiarity with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), HACCP systems, and USDA/EU Organic standards.
