Social Media Assistant – Content Creation & Brand Building

Job Description:
We’re looking for a creative and organised Social Media Assistant to help us build our brand presence across four profiles – three UK businesses and one personal brand.

You’ll be responsible for planning, creating, scheduling, and posting content across multiple social media platforms. This is a part-time freelance role with the potential to grow. If you love storytelling, have an eye for design, and enjoy helping businesses grow online – we’d love to work with you!

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Jock Sergisons Garage Ltd – A trusted MOT & vehicle servicing centre (est. 1974)

Livin Residential Lettings Ltd – Property lettings & management business

Workin Commercial Property – Our commercial property arm

Jamie Smyth – Founder/director building a personal brand in property and business

We are active across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter/X.

Your Responsibilities:
???? Plan monthly content calendars for each profile
???? Create engaging posts (text, images, videos, carousels, reels, stories, etc.)
???? Use brand voice consistently across platforms
???? Write simple captions and copy with correct tone (professional, friendly, trustworthy)
???? Schedule posts using tools like Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite
???? Monitor engagement and suggest improvements
???? Set up and improve content systems, templates, and posting processes
???? Research trends and ideas relevant to our industries (property, automotive, personal branding)

Requirements:
? Excellent English (writing, grammar, tone)
? Experience managing multiple social media accounts
? Confident using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools for content creation
? Strong sense of design, layout, and social trends
? Highly organised and self-motivated
? Able to take ideas and run with them, while checking in regularly
? Good internet and your own laptop

Bonus (but not required):

Experience with UK businesses or audiences

Basic knowledge of SEO or hashtag strategy

Video editing for Reels or TikToks

Assist with developing a social media paid campaign

Hours & Pay:

Part-time: 8 hours/week

Flexible schedule, but some overlap with UK hours preferred

Pay: $5–$7 USD/hour depending on experience

Paid monthly via Wise

Long-term freelance role with regular feedback and support
