Contractor Role: Legal Assistant – Irish Law (Remote, Full-Time)

An Irish solicitor is seeking a capable and experienced Legal Assistant (Contractor) to support on a range of legal work. This is a remote contractor position, working 35 hours per week, with a monthly payment of €1,362 (at €9/hour). You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and researching documents independently, with daily email contact and clear task assignments.

You must be self-directed, professional, and have excellent written English.

Responsibilities
• Draft and review property contracts, commercial agreements, leases, wills, and probate documents
• Format, edit, and finalise legal documents for use with clients and counterparties
• Carry out legal research, particularly on Irish law
• Work from templates and adapt documents to meet instructions
• Communicate clearly and deliver work consistently by email

Requirements
• Native or fluent English with excellent grammar and legal drafting ability
• At least 3 years’ experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
• Strong familiarity with common law legal systems (Irish/UK experience a plus)
• Proven ability to work independently and to a high standard
• Strong knowledge of Word, PDF and email document handling
• Willing to learn Irish legal procedures and terminology as needed

Nice to Have
• Prior experience with Irish law firms or Irish property/probate matters
• Experience using ChatGPT or legal AI tools for drafting support
• Familiarity with Land Registry documents or Irish court procedures

Terms
• Contractor position
• 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Must be available to work 3–4 hours per day overlapping with Irish time
• €9 per hour, paid monthly (€1,362/month based on 4.33 weeks)
• Long-term, steady engagement with scope for extended work
