Full-Stack Developer (MVP build)

Looking for a full-stack developer to make a web-app concept into reality.

I have owned an English Training school in Beijing, China for 5 years now. My team and I have been making school material for the students and teachers on an almost daily basis. We have tried pretty much every single existing piece of related software, although we have found a decent workflow, it is far from optimal. While talking to one of our partners in Quebec, Canada, we believe to have found the perfect solution. To create a web-app in which school material can be created, edited exported to PDF, and where the students can do worksheets and have the teachers monitor, correct and grade their assignments.

Our mission is to create a simple and efficient platform made by teachers for teachers.

For now, the current goal (and where you hopefully come in) is to create an MVP which is usable internally in order for us to test, analyze and observe what’s needed and what’s not.

About the product:
A simple in-and-out web-app where teachers can create worksheets using simple functions like drag-and-drop, modular-activity templates and interact with the completed activities functions like PDF export, editing, e-mail assignment distribution, completion of the worksheets, correction and grading of the completed worksheets, all through one single intuitive app.

We are looking for someone who possesses all of the following:
• Production experience with React (TypeScript preferred)
• Expertise with Firebase services
• Experience with PDF generation and manipulation
• Ability to implement designs from Figma
• Clear communication
• Strong documentation habits

A plus if you possess:
• UX/UI design experience and sensibilities
• Experience in education or educational tech
• French language skills
