AI Systems Integration Engineer (Contract/Freelance)

Job Overview:
Elite Makeovers is seeking an experienced AI Systems Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain a centralized server architecture that connects and intelligently syncs data across platforms such as ---------- , Outlook, SharePoint, WhatsApp, Slack, and other communication or productivity tools.

The ideal candidate will lead the development of an AI-powered hub that enables seamless data flow, smart insights, automation opportunities, and custom dashboards to boost operational efficiency across teams.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement a secure AI server capable of integrating with multiple APIs (e.g. ---------- , Outlook, Slack, etc.)
Set up centralized data collection, synchronization, and queryable storage (e.g. vector databases, cloud repositories).
Configure custom API bridges or use iPaaS tools (e.g. ---------- , Zapier, ---------- ) for specific integrations.
Enable smart summarization, insights, and alerts using LLMs (such as OpenAI APIs or private models).
Implement robust data access control, user authentication, and audit trails.
Build user-friendly dashboards or interfaces for internal use.
Ensure system security, GDPR/APP compliance, and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
3–5+ years experience in systems integration, AI tooling, or backend infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of APIs, webhooks, OAuth2 authentication, and RESTful integrations.
Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or similar backend frameworks.
Experience working with:
Productivity APIs (e.g. Microsoft Graph, Slack API, WhatsApp Business API)
Automation platforms (e.g. Zapier, ---------- , n8n, ---------- )
Cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Understanding of LLM pipelines (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Pinecone/Weaviate for vector storage).
Familiarity with project management and CRM platforms ( ---------- , HubSpot, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience integrating multiple business platforms into a centralized AI/ML stack.
Knowledge of enterprise compliance in data processing (especially for Australian SMEs).
Experience deploying custom GPT solutions or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
