About the Role
We are a UK-based main contractor delivering a range of residential new build and refurbishment projects. Due to our expanding workload, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team on a part-time basis. You will work closely with our UK-based QS and project management team to support all commercial aspects of our projects.
This is a flexible, remote role ideally suited to someone looking for part-time work (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday) with long-term prospects.

Key Responsibilities
- Bill of Quantities (BoQ) / Contract Sum Analysis (CSA) creation for all trades
- Subcontractor quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Prepare and send out tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
- Draft and issue tender requirements and documentation
- Track and chase tender returns
- Compare and analyse tenders; prepare tender comparison reports
- Assist in preparing contract documents
- Prepare meeting documentation
- Collect and organise subcontractor information and compliance documents

- Prepare payment sheets and valuations
- Log, allocate, and track subcontractor payments
- Draft and issue payment notices
- Prepare material enquiries and purchase orders
- Material quantity take-offs from drawings
- Allocate costs and assist with cost reporting
- Chase subcontractors for payment applications
- Assist with chasing outstanding information
- Track variations and dayworks

Essential Skills & Attributes
- Strong experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or commercial administration for construction projects
- Good working knowledge of reading architectural and engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF markup tools (e.g., Bluebeam or Planswift, or similar)
- Comfortable working independently and to deadlines
- Proactive approach to tracking and chasing information

Preferred Experience
2+ years in a QS, estimator, or construction cost admin role (UK/International experience both considered)
Previous remote working experience
Experience with Bluebeam, Planswift, Excel, Google Sheets etc

Part time: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday
