We're looking for an Operations Manager for our UK based Website & App Design Agency.
We're not looking for someone with a sales background, we'd like to look more for someone with great project management skills.

UK-based website and app design agency with a distributed team primarily located in the UK & Philippines. The agency focuses on delivering high-quality digital solutions to clients while maintaining efficient operations across multiple time zones.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to streamline our agency operations, manage our distributed team, and drive operational excellence. This role is critical to freeing up senior leadership to focus on strategy, business development, and high-value client work. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day operations, team management, process improvement, and may assume project management responsibilities.

Key Objectives
- Enable senior leadership to focus on strategy, system building, high-profile accounts, sales, and marketing
- Improve team management and operational efficiency across UK-Philippines distributed workforce
- Implement and optimize processes to enhance productivity and quality
- Manage HR functions including recruitment, team development, and performance management
- Supplement project management functions
- Supervise existing part-time PM and virtual assistant to maximize their effectiveness

Primary Responsibilities
Team Management & HR (20%)
- Recruit and onboard new tea ---------- mbers across UK and Philippines locations
- Manage performance of distributed tea ---------- mbers including regular check-ins and performance reviews
- Handle employee relations including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and team development
- Foster team culture and engagement across geographical boundaries
- Supervise existing tea ---------- mbers including part-time PM and virtual assistant

Process Improvement & Operations (20%)
- Assess current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all key processes
- Optimize project delivery workflows to improve efficiency and quality
- Implement and manage tools and technologies to support remote operations
- Monitor and report on operational KPIs including utilization, profitability, and efficiency metrics

Project Management & Resource Planning (50%)
- Oversee project delivery in collaboration with or replacement of current project management
- Manage resource allocation across multiple projects and tea ---------- mbers
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion
- Coordinate between teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and communication
- Manage client communication regarding project status and operational matters
- Implement project management tools and methodologies to improve delivery efficiency
- Track and report on project profitability and resource utilization

Strategic Support & Reporting (10%)
- Provide operational insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
- Prepare regular reports on team performance, operational metrics, and improvement initiatives
- Support business development by ensuring operational capacity for new projects
- Collaborate with leadership on long-term planning and growth strategies

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years experience in operations management, preferably in digital agency or creative services environment
- Proven experience managing remote/distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Strong project management background with experience in creative or digital projects
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to communicate effectively across cultures
- Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, project management software)
- Experience with process improvement and operational optimization
- Understanding of creative/digital agency workflows and client service delivery

Highly Desirable
- Experience with HR functions including recruitment, performance management, and policy development
- Background in web design, app development, or digital marketing industry
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum)

Working Arrangements
Location: Remote role
Hours: Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate Philippines team schedules. We would want at least 3 hours per day to cross-over time zones. Our UK team and customers are working 9-5 UK time.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: 1,480,000 PHP - 2,280,000 PHP per year (dependent on experience)
- Performance bonus: Up to 350,000 PHP annually based on operational improvements and team performance
