About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced, detail-oriented Remote Construction Project Manager to oversee renovation and construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $1 million CAD. You will coordinate all aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction through completion, working closely with local foremen, architects, engineers, and city officials.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage residential and light commercial projects valued at $50K–$1M CAD.
• Develop and detail shop drawings; intermediate-level AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Prepare detailed scopes of work for subtrades and vendors.
• Break down projects into individual components and develop comprehensive schedules.
• Obtain and compare subtrade quotes to ensure best value and quality.
• Prepare and submit permit applications, including coordination with city building officials.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design alignment and approvals.
• Schedule and track inspections, follow up on deficiencies, and ensure final sign-offs.
• Coordinate closely with local foremen on schedules, site conditions, and day-to-day progress.
• Prepare and lead weekly project meetings with all stakeholders.
• Track budgets, manage change orders, and control overall project costs.
• Review and approve submittals and shop drawings from trades and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate, timely project documentation (e.g., RFIs, meeting minutes, reports).
• Act as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent communication and customer satisfaction.
• Support and mentor junior tea ---------- mbers as required.

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience on projects valued $50K–$1M CAD.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, able to produce and modify detailed shop drawings.
• Strong experience writing scopes of work and preparing tender packages for subtrades.
• Excellent ability to schedule, coordinate, and manage multiple trades and suppliers.
• Experience preparing and submitting permits and coordinating with municipal authorities.
• Strong budget management and cost control skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English), strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Ability to work remotely but collaborate effectively with local field teams.

Preferred Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working with Canadian building codes and permit processes.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
