Our practice areas include family law, business formation, trademarks, and online legal coaching programs. We are seeking a reliable and proactive Public Relations Virtual Assistant to help us build media visibility and brand authority through targeted press outreach.

Role Overview

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is highly organized, strong in written communication, and comfortable managing recurring outreach tasks. You will be responsible for identifying media opportunities, submitting PR pitches using prewritten templates, and tracking press results. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
• Monitor HARO (Help A Reporter Out), SourceBottle, and similar platforms daily for PR opportunities
• Identify and log relevant press requests that align with our services (e.g., family law, trademarks, LLCs, legal reform, entrepreneurship)
• Customize and send pitches using provided email templates and firm bios
• Maintain a submission tracker to monitor pitch history, follow-ups, and responses
• Build and update media contact lists (journalists, bloggers, podcast hosts)
• Research industry blogs and guest post opportunities
• Repurpose blog content and email copy into short quotes or press answers
• Assist with drafting and submitting award nominations or speaking proposals
• Provide weekly progress summaries and press performance metrics

Required Qualifications
• Excellent written English and grammar
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior experience with PR, outreach, or media coordination preferred
• Familiarity with Gmail, Google Sheets, and tracking systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to follow a documented process with consistency
• Stable internet connection and dedicated work setup

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
• Familiarity with HARO or similar PR platforms
• Background in journalism, public relations, or communications
• Experience working with law firms or legal professionals
• Basic understanding of legal topics (trademarks, family law, LLCs)
• Experience with Notion, Trello, or Zapier integrations

Compensation & Benefits
• Starting rate: $4 to $6 USD/hour depending on experience
• Opportunity for rate increase after 90-day review
• Bonuses available based on successful press placements
• 13th-month pay (pro-rated), paid holidays, and birthday leave
• Flexible work hours (must check HARO in the morning, U.S. time)
• Paid onboarding and standard operating procedures provided

Working Hours
• 15 to 20 hours per week to start (with potential to grow to full-time)
• Must be available to check morning HARO editions in U.S. time zones (EST or PST preferred)
• Remaining hours are flexible as long as deadlines are met
