We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Content and Strategy Manager who is equal parts project manager, creative collaborator, and digital storyteller. You’ll manage content from start to finish — from brainstorming and researching political and cultural
This isn’t just a scheduling job. It’s a strategy-meets-execution role for someone who understands political and cultural narratives, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is energized by creating content that’s smart, bold, and rooted in mission.
This person will help drive two content tracks:
1. U.S. politics-focused content with an emphasis on analysis, social justice, and breaking down what’s happening (and why it matters). [Professional account]
2 .Lifestyle-meets-values content centered on faith, entrepreneurship/productivity, politics, and lifestyle with a creative and personal brand voice. [Personal account]
If you can take an idea, map it out, collaborate with editors and designers, and help bring it to life across multiple platforms, we want to hear from you.
PLEASE REVIEW THIS SLIDEDECK TO GET A SENSE OF THE TYPE OF CONTENT THAT WILL BE POSTED ON THE PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNT.
Please Note
This is a full-time, internal position — not a freelance or side gig opportunity. The role begins as a 6-month contract to transition into a long-term hire. We’re looking for someone fully dedicated to this work and vision, not splitting time across multiple clients or freelance projects.
If you’re a freelancer or currently managing multiple contracts, we kindly ask that you do not apply. This role requires focused, consistent collaboration and deep investment in the content and mission we’re building.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Development
- Act as a thought partner in brainstorming content topics, hooks, series, and recurring formats across multiple platforms.
- Research and identify timely political topics, trending narratives, or evergreen content opportunities.
- Draft and/or outline scripts, storyboards, and post concepts — both for short-form and long-form content.
- Collaborate on creative planning for content across verticals including U.S. politics, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, and faith.
Content Production Coordination
- Manage the pre-production and post-production process in collaboration with editors, designers, and other creatives.
- Own content calendars and publishing timelines across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
- Ensure content is delivered on time and optimized for platform and audience.
Engagement & Community Management
- Monitor and engage with communities across platforms, identifying high-value conversations and amplifying responses.
- Suggest ways to deepen engagement and visibility (comments strategy, polls, CTA experiments, etc.).
- Track content performance and identify actionable insights to guide future content strategy.
Project & Workflow Management
- Own the entire content pipeline — from idea to execution — using tools like Notion, Asana, Trello, or Airtable.
- Coordinate communication with editors, designers, and collaborators to ensure clarity and deadlines.
- Maintain organized libraries of raw content, edited assets, and evergreen materials for reuse.
Who You Are
- A self-starter who thrives in fast-moving digital environments and can juggle both structure and creativity.
- Politically sharp — you either have a solid understanding of U.S. politics or the research skills to quickly get up to speed and translate that into accessible, engaging content.
- Creative and strategic — you love thinking about what makes content work, and you can help shape that from concept to caption.
- Comfortable working independently, but eager to collaborate and bounce ideas around.
- Fluent in internet culture and understand how content should differ across platforms.
Bonus If You Have
- Experience working with values-aligned brands (faith, politics, lifestyle, or social justice).
- Familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Canva, Kapwing) or graphic design platforms.
- Strong writing skills for captions, scripts, or
- A sense of humor and a passion for using content to shift narratives.
Hiring Process
We’re aiming for a clear and efficient process. Here’s what to expect:
1. Initial Alignment Call (15 minutes) – A quick call to confirm alignment on expectations, capacity, and goals.
2. Content Concept/Writing Assignment – Candidates who move forward will complete a short, practical assignment to assess writing, content thinking, and alignment with the brand voice and mission.
3. Final Interview (30–45 minutes) – A deeper conversation to talk through the role, working relationship, and mutual fit.
4. Offer Letter Sent – The selected candidate will receive a formal offer and onboarding details to begin the 6-month contract.
If this timeline works for you and the role sounds like a fit, we’re excited to meet you! The start date is negotiable and subject to change depending on how many applicants we receive.
How to Apply
If this sounds like your kind of role, send your resume and portfolio (or relevant samples of social/digital work), along with a brief statement about why you’re a great fit. Include any political or lifestyle content you’ve helped shape — we’d love to see it.
