Quality Assurance Controller

Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of financial data and reporting across our client base. You’ll be responsible for reviewing the work of our accounting team to ensure all deliverables meet our high standards and are in accordance with US GAAP and internal best practices. The ideal candidate is remote with a strong background in accounting (ideally at an Accounting Manager level or equivalent) and enjoys reviewing work, identifying inconsistencies, and upholding high standards. There will be time where ad-hoc this role will help with client related projects/support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed reviews of general ledger transactions, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by accounting team.
Identify discrepancies, omissions, or accounting errors and provide actionable feedback
- Create and maintain QA checklists and review protocols to standardize quality across client deliverables
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accounting processes follow company standards and US GAAP principles
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accounting staff on best practices and process improvements
- Assist with the implementation of internal controls and QA workflows for scalability
- Flag recurring issues and assist in the development of training materials to address them
- Participate in internal audits and special quality assurance projects as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a review or managerial capacity
- Experience with NetSuite is required
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting platforms
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an outsourced accounting firm or with U.S.-based clients
- Background in financial audit or internal controls is a plus
- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and task management platforms (e.g., Asana, ClickUp)
