About the Project:
* We are a development team building a modern web-based education and workforce management system.
Our platform includes:
* Role-based dashboards for Teachers, Students, Principals, Staff, and Providers
* Authenticated document viewing for PDFs, Word files, and images
* Task and note management
* Scheduling via FullCalendar
The frontend is built in Vue 3 using the Composition API and PrimeVue. The backend is powered by a C# .NET API. Although development is ongoing and the platform is live, a dedicated UI/UX design process has not been fully implemented. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join us short-term to help establish a workflow and improve usability.
Responsibilities:
* Review and assess the current UI and user experience
* Create and implement a professional UI/UX workflow including wireframes, mockups, and reusable design components
* Propose improvements to layout, navigation, and component consistency
* Create designs that integrate smoothly with Vue 3 and PrimeVue components
* Work closely with the development team during handoff
* Communicate with existing users to gather feedback and inform design decisions
* Document design guidelines and patterns for future scalability
Requirements:
* Proven experience designing web-based SaaS platforms or admin dashboards
* Strong understanding of user-centered design, layout, accessibility, and responsiveness
* Solid portfolio demonstrating relevant work (must include SaaS and/or admin UI examples)
* Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
* Ability to work during EST business hours and attend team calls if needed
* Good communication skills and comfort interacting with real users to gather feedback
* Ability to work independently and drive UI/UX decisions with confidence
Nice to Have
* Experience with Vue, PrimeVue, or other modern frontend frameworks
* Familiarity with Quill, FullCalendar, or similar libraries
* Experience with educational or task/workflow-based systems
