JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive accounting professional based in the Philippines to initially support our U.S.-based companies on a project basis. This role is designed to evolve into a full-time leadership position, overseeing the accounting operations across multiple businesses and managing a remote team. Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, job costing, financial reporting, and audit support—and are ready to lead and scale a department.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
• Set up and monitor job costing systems and generate profitability and variance reports.
• Prepare and review financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
• Support internal and external audit processes and ensure audit-readiness.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls.
• Hire, train, and manage junior accountants or bookkeepers as the team expands.
• Collaborate with leadership to deliver financial insights and help guide business decisions.

Tools We Use:
• QuickBooks Online
• Paychex, or ADP (for payroll)
• Google Sheets, Zoom, WhatsApp

Requirements:
• 5+ years of accounting experience with U.S.-based businesses
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, audit preparation, and financial reporting
• Experience managing teams or supervising junior staff (even informally)
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work partially or fully within U.S. business hours
• Reliable internet and a quiet remote workspace

Preferred (Not Required):
• CPA or equivalent certification (local or international)
• Experience in audit, consulting, or multi-entity environments
• Background in building or scaling accounting systems and teams

Growth Opportunity:
This role will begin as a project-based position focused on core accounting work. With strong performance and alignment, it will evolve into a full-time Accounting Manager role with department-level oversight, leadership responsibilities, and increased compensation.

Partnership & Compensation Path:
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial accountant who wants more than just a job. If we’re a strong fit and your performance aligns with the company's vision, you will have the opportunity to become a long-term partner in the business. You will take ownership of the accounting division, lead the team, and directly influence financial and operational strategy.

Compensation will start as project-based while we assess mutual fit. If successful, your compensation structure will evolve into a mix of base salary and profit-sharing based on the company’s performance. We are looking for someone who sees this as a long-term career opportunity with leadership potential.

Ownership & Strategic Vision:
This is not just another accounting job—it’s a chance to become a core partner in building and scaling the financial engine of our business. You’ll take ownership of the accounting division, with full visibility into financial performance and a real opportunity to lead operational growth. Your leadership will directly influence company strategy and profitability, and you’ll have a voice in key decisions as we scale.

Initial Milestones & Promotion Timeline:
The role will begin with clearly defined project-based work, including:
- Cleaning up books and catching up on reconciliations
- Setting up monthly close procedures and reporting processes
- Improving A/R, A/P, and cash flow visibility

After 60–90 days of successful performance, we’ll define your transition into a full-time Accounting Manager role, with a mapped path toward increased pay, leadership responsibility, and profit-sharing.

Our Culture & Values:
We operate lean, move fast, and value people who take ownership. We expect clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and loyalty from our team. If you thrive in remote work, enjoy building systems, and want to grow something meaningful—this is for you.

Bonus Experience:
Experience supporting U.S. CPAs or preparing tax documentation (1099s, W-2s, 1065s, etc.) is a strong plus. Familiarity with U.S. business structures and audit coordination will help you grow faster into this leadership role.

Long-Term Vision:
This is a rare opportunity for someone in the Philippines to become a trusted strategic partner in a U.S.-based business. You’ll grow with us, earn with us, and lead with us. If you’re ready to build something meaningful and take ownership—apply now by letting us know how your skills and values fit into our immediate and future plans!
