Job Title: Medical Billing & Front Desk Specialist (Remote – Philippines)
Work Schedule: U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Location: Remote – Philippines
Employment Type: Part-time to Full-time

Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing U.S.-based telehealth primary care startup looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Billing & Front Desk Specialist. This remote role combines virtual front-desk responsibilities with end-to-end medical billing support. You will work directly with the founder in a mission-driven, startup environment.


Requirements:

Must have a working smartphone

Must have secure VPN internet access

Must have capacity to make and receive U.S. calls

Excellent written and spoken English

At least 2 years of experience in U.S. medical billing

Experience in telehealth or primary care settings preferred

Familiar with CPT and ICD-10 codes, claim submission, and insurance follow-up

Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a strong plus

Experience using Spruce Health is a strong plus

Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets

Skilled in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and denial management

Experience handling front desk tasks such as patient intake, appointment scheduling, and follow-ups

Discretion and professionalism in providing executive-level support, including occasional assistance with administrative and personal tasks as needed

Highly organized, tech-savvy, and dependable

Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

Experience creating and maintaining SOPs

Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment



Responsibilities:

-- Medical Billing

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits

Submit clean claims and follow up on denials

Handle accounts receivable and manage appeals

Maintain accurate billing records and track payments

Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients




-- Front Desk

Manage patient intake and registration

Schedule and confirm appointments

Handle inbound calls and message triage via Spruce

Respond to patient inquiries and follow-ups professionally

Ensure accurate data entry in eCW




-- Administrative Support

Assist the founder with special projects as needed

Help document and improve internal workflows and SOPs

Support training of future virtual tea ---------- mbers
