Video Editor NEEDED (Experienced)

I’m a content creator in the plant-based food space looking for a skilled video editor to help create engaging short-form content (Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts).

You’ll be responsible for turning raw footage into polished, scroll-stopping videos that are clean, well-paced, and visually engaging.

You will be working primarily with me, but my friend (who also runs an online business) may occasionally require video editing support as well, so there is potential for more consistent work over time.

Responsibilities
Edit short-form videos (Reels and Shorts)
Able to edit long-form videos
Cut and trim footage for strong pacing and engagement
Add captions/subtitles (clean and easy to read)
Incorporate basic effects, transitions, and text overlays
Follow brand style and editing direction
Select strong hooks and ensure videos are engaging from the start
Make revisions based on feedback

Requirements
Experience editing short-form vertical video content
Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and viewer retention
Fluent in English (for captions and communication)
Reliable and able to meet deadlines
Attention to detail
A great sense of humour
Gets western comedy and humour
Good internet connection is an asset
