Shopify Developer – Custom Customer Portal (My Garage)

???? About the Role

We’re ---------- – the makers of the most insane, high-end custom car covers in the world. Our customers are passionate car lovers, and we want to give them a “My Garage” portal on our Shopify site where they can:
• View their order status & production timeline
• See their personalized render
• Approve or request changes to the design
• Communicate with our support team via an internal messaging system

You’ll be the architect of this system. We’re looking for someone who can build a beautiful and functional portal, connect it with our Shopify backend, and help automate parts of our workflow.

???? What You’ll Build
• A customer dashboard (My Garage) on our Shopify store
• Integration with Proofer (for render approvals)
• Trello or Shopify order status sync (production timeline)
• Internal messaging system (support tea ---------- ssages customer ? customer gets email ? logs in to read reply)
• Trigger notifications via email (Klaviyo preferred)

????? Required Skills
• Strong Shopify development experience (Liquid, custom apps, etc.)
• Experience building client portals or dashboards
• Proficient with API integration (Shopify, Trello, Klaviyo)
• Knows how to use tools like Mechanic, Arigato, Proofer, or Zapier
• Clean, responsive front-end design skills (Tailwind or Bootstrap is fine)
• Excellent written English

???? Bonus Skills
• Experience with Gorgias or ManyChat
• Familiarity with HeroCovers or automotive/enthusiast brands
• Long-term availability for ongoing upgrades
