Modern Med Health Solutions, LLC is a certified HUBZone, EDWOSB, and WOSB healthcare staffing firm specializing in providing medical and behavioral health professionals to federal and state agencies. We are rapidly expanding our presence in the government contracting space and are seeking a strategic, self-driven Business Development Manager to help lead that growth.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing federal and state contracting opportunities that align with our core capabilities. This role includes market research, opportunity tracking, capture planning, relationship-building, and teaming development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the federal procurement process and a proven track record of winning contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, identify, and qualify new government contract opportunities using platforms like
Develop and manage a government contracting opportunity pipeline and win strategy
Build and maintain relationships with contracting officers, teaming partners, and prime contractors
Lead or support capture efforts for RFI, RFQ, and RFP responses, including teaming agreements, technical solution planning, and pricing coordination
Collaborate with proposal writers and leadership to ensure compliant, compelling submissions
Track bid opportunities, awards, and upcoming recompetes across key federal and state agencies (VA, FEMA, DoD, HHS, etc.)
Support or lead efforts to gain access to contract vehicles (GSA, IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs)
Attend industry days, pre-bid conferences, and small business outreach events as needed
Qualifications:
3–5+ years of experience in business development within the government contracting space (federal or state/local)
Proven experience identifying and winning contracts for services (healthcare or professional services preferred)
Deep understanding of the federal procurement process, FAR, and small business set-aside programs (WOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), etc.)
Experience with proposal management or working closely with proposal teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with opportunity tracking tools (e.g., GovWin,
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field; MBA or PMP/Capture Management certification is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare staffing or medical services contracting
Relationships or past work with agencies like the VA, FEMA, or DoD
Knowledge of GSA Schedules, IDIQs, and federal contract vehicles
