This is not a conceptual design role—this is an engineering position focused on execution, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a part-time Structural Packaging & POP Engineer to develop detailed engineering drawings and structural dielines for packaging and point-of-purchase (POP) displays. This role requires real-world engineering experience and involves working knowledge of corrugate, folding carton, wire, metal, plastics, and wood. You’ll work closely with our retail marketing and sourcing teams to create durable, cost-effective, and vendor-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engineer detailed, production-ready packaging and POP structures for manufacturing.
• Create dielines, structural CAD drawings, and technical specs using SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Design using a variety of materials including corrugate, folding carton, wire, metal, plastic, and wood.
• Focus on cost optimization by improving material efficiency, minimizing waste, and streamlining assembly.
• Communicate directly with local and overseas manufacturers to troubleshoot and refine designs.
• Deliver reliable, scalable designs that meet brand, durability, and retail requirements.
• Support cross-functional coordination with marketing, product development, and sourcing.
• Ensure all projects are completed accurately and on time, aligned with production schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Demonstrated engineering experience in packaging, display, or manufacturing fields.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in structural design for packaging or POP displays.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) or similar engineering software (ArtiosCAD, ProEngineer, etc.).
• Clear understanding of packaging construction principles, materials, and production methods.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Portfolio or examples of production-ready engineering work (not conceptual renders only).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with international vendors, especially in the Far East or Philippines.
• Familiarity with cost optimization techniques, packaging sustainability, or logistics efficiencies.
• Working knowledge of printing processes, structural testing, or packaging compliance standards.
• Ability to create simple renderings or assembly visuals for communication (a plus, not required).
