???? About Us
We’re Link My Books — a fast-growing SaaS platform helping ecommerce sellers and accountants automate their bookkeeping. Our software saves customers hours each month, prevents costly VAT mistakes, and gives them full visibility over their numbers.
We’re looking for someone ridiculously sharp, resourceful, and organised beyond belief. Someone who thrives on solving problems, moves fast, and improves everything they touch — not someone who waits for instructions.
You’ll work directly with both founders, regularly on video calls, and be trusted to take ownership of meaningful work. This is not a typical assistant role. It’s an execution partner role — helping us get more done, move faster, and stay organised as we scale.
You don’t need micromanagement — give you a goal and a high-level plan, and you’ll get there quickly using initiative and the right tools. You won’t just execute; you’ll improve the system behind the execution.
Tasks
Example Projects
We’re not here to hand you neatly packaged task lists. We’ll throw out rough ideas, half-formed problems, or goals — and expect you to take ownership and figure it out.
Here are the kinds of things you might be working on:
YouTube ? Sales: Identify all YouTube videos that mention us. Build a system to track them, reach out to creators, and turn mentions into partnerships or traffic
Onboarding Optimisation: Use GPT to audit our
App Store Content: Review our listings, benchmark competitors using AI tools, and suggest copy or layout improvements
Automation: Notice a repetitive task the team is doing and build a clean Zapier automation to eliminate it
Inbox & Workflow Cleanup: Help the founders reduce noise by building better systems for triaging and managing distractions
You don’t need permission to fix something broken. If you see an inefficiency or a smarter way, take the lead.
Requirements
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You...
Are confident using tools like ChatGPT, Notion, Google Sheets, and Zapier — and if you haven’t used one before, you’ll figure it out quickly
Can apply AI and automation practically — not just to experiment, but to improve how we work
Are the most organised person you know — and help everyone around you stay that way
Communicate clearly, keep people updated, and know when a quick video call solves things faster
Write fluent, professional English and ask great questions when you need context
Take ownership, follow up proactively, and don’t need to be chased
Push back when something doesn’t make sense, and propose a better option
Have a strong work ethic and a real sense of humour — we value both equally
Location & Timezone
You must be in a timezone that allows solid daily overlap with Sydney (Australia) and Spain — typically between 3–8pm AEST and 7am–12pm CEST.
Ideal regions: Eastern Europe or the Philippines
Unfortunately, we cannot accept applicants from India or Pakistan due to GDPR and data protection compliance.
Commitment
This is a full-time role — 40 hours per week
You’ll be working as a contractor, embedded as part of the team
This is not a side project or a flexible-hour gig
We expect consistency, strong communication, and full engagement
Benefits
What You’ll Get
Direct access to two experienced, fast-paced founders — you’ll learn a ton
A front-row seat to how a lean SaaS company scales — with transparency and context
Ownership of meaningful projects and the freedom to improve how we work
Structured autonomy — clear goals and expectations, but no micromanagement
A small, honest, efficient and smart team that takes the work seriously but not themselves
A genuinely great culture — so far, no one who’s joined us has left. We support our team, and they love working here
The chance to grow — this role could evolve into operations, product, marketing, or a hybrid, depending on your strengths
We’re a growing SaaS company helping ecommerce sellers automate their bookkeeping. If you can figure out who we are, well done. That kind of initiative is exactly what we like.
How to Apply
In your covering letter, your very first line must be:
“I’m the person you want.”
If that’s not the first thing we see, we won’t read further.
Please also include:
A quick intro about you and why this role stood out
An example of something you built, improved, or automated using AI (bonus points if you walk us through in a Loom)
(Bonus) One thing you’d improve — this job post, our hiring process, or something you’ve inferred about our business
We don’t mind if you use AI to help write your application — just don’t use it to write a boring one. We love clever. We respect honest. And we notice detail.
