Sales Assistant – Solar Power - Solar Tiles

Volt Solar Tile is an innovative solar technology company based in Australia, with global reach. We’re changing the way solar integrates into homes by combining world-class roofing and cutting-edge solar tile technology.

We're looking for a Sales Assistant to help us manage our growing pipeline of leads and support the sales team in turning interest into action. This is a remote role working closely with our Business Development Manager, technical team, and broader organisation, you will be joining daily huddles and weekly meetings whilst also being trained in the technical aspects of the role.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Lead Management: Track, manage, and respond to all incoming sales leads via email, phone, and Slaesforce.
• Lead Qualification: Speak with potential customers to understand their needs, budget, and technical requirements.
• Proposal Support: Prepare and send proposals, follow-up emails, and basic technical documentation using provided templates and OpenSolar design software.
• Basic Solar Design and quoting: Use our solar design software (training provided) to create simple layouts based on roof plans and customer needs.
• CRM Management: Keep Salesforce or other CRM systems updated with accurate notes and next steps.
• Sales Pipeline Support: Assist the Business Development Manager in converting qualified leads into sales opportunities and closing deals.
• Customer Communication: Answer common product and technical questions via email and phone, escalating complex matters when needed.

What We’re Looking For:
• Prior experience in solar, renewable energy, technical sales, or construction/architecture (preferred)
• Confident phone manner and excellent written English
• Tech-savvy, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn solar design software (e.g., OpenSolar, SolarPlus, or similar)
• Basic understanding of solar systems and electrical concepts (voltage, kilowatts, inverters, etc.)
• Ability to work Australian business hours and attend daily huddles
