Thrifty Jinxy is a well-established lifestyle site with the theme of living a fabulous life on a frugal budget. We feature recipes, DIY crafts, household tips, money saving ideas and great deals.

As a member of our team you may do all or some of the following:
• Input previously created recipes into WordPress following our template, including composing text, uploading photos (possibly some basic photo editing), and filling out WP Recipe Maker recipe cards.
• Create Pinterest pin graphics and descriptions
• Schedule Pins using Pinterest native scheduler or Tailwind.
• Create and schedule Facebook posts
• Additional tasks may include updating old blog posts, backend projects like updating missing alt text on photos, resizing old featured images, writing blog category descriptions, writing non-recipe posts, promoting with Flipboard, etc.
• Create a daily report of tasks accomplished and use time tracking software to record hours worked.

Skills needed:
• Advanced written English proficiency (ability to write well without ChatGPT or other AI input)
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills.
• Self-motivation and a positive attitude.
• Canva or PicMonkey experience.
• WordPress experience.
• Basic knowledge of SEO
• Experience with Google Docs and Google Sheets.
• Previous content writing experience.
• Knowledge of cooking or baking and comfort writing about it.
• Experience with email newsletter creation is helpful, but not required.
• Experience with Flipboard would be very helpful, but not required.
• Experience with creating affiliate links also helpful, but not required.

Job details:
After a paid training period, the position will begin with 20 hours per week maximum and start at $3.00 per hour, with potential to increase to full-time (40/hours per week) with a pay increase over the course of the first several weeks or months (based on performance) and further growth opportunities with continued performance.
You may choose your own working hours, but you may need to be available to overlap with GMT-6 time between the hours of 9am and 6pm a few hours each week so we can communicate directly.
