Key Responsibilities:
-Perform virtual audits of policyholders’ payroll, tax, and operational records
-Review IRS 941s, 940s, W-2s, W-3s, and payroll journals
-Analyze general ledgers and verify class codes according to WC guidelines
-Identify and include uninsured subcontractor payroll where applicable
-Prepare a professional audit report and premium adjustment summary
-Communicate findings clearly via
-Ensure audits comply with carrier standards and deadlines
-Maintain confidentiality of all client and policyholder information
Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience in accounting, insurance premium audits, or payroll review
-Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation classifications and audit process
-Experience with IRS payroll forms (941, 940, W-2, W-3) and general ledger review
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PDF editing, and secure file sharing tools
-Excellent communication and report-writing skills
-CPA or background in accounting preferred, but not required
-Comfortable working independently and managing multiple audit files remotely
