JOB OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and community-minded Social Media Assistant to help us build authentic connections with our audience. This person will be responsible for day-to-day engagement across our Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts, helping to strengthen our digital presence and highlight the voices and work of our community.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and professional manner

Repost content when we are tagged, and share relevant community posts

Engage with followers and partner organizations by liking, commenting, and resharing content

Identify opportunities for community collaboration or amplification

Support the implementation of social media campaigns and activations when needed


Ideal Candidate

Has experience managing or assisting with brand or organizational social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)

Understands the importance of voice, tone, and relationship-building in social spaces

Is familiar with the issues we care about—mental health, reproductive justice, equity, or community care

Is proactive, responsive, and able to work independently with clear deadlines

Has flexible availability throughout the week to monitor and respond to engagement



Details

This is a part-time contract position for 20 hours per month

Compensation is hourly and based on experience
