We are currently restructuring for deeper specialization and seeking a foundational leader for our new backend marketing department.


About the Role:


As a Backend Marketing & Analytics Lead, you'll be the technical backbone of our marketing efforts, ensuring our systems and data work seamlessly to support our marketing campaigns. You'll be working closely with our marketing team to develop and implement strategies that improve customer engagement and drive business results. We are looking for a highly analytical, process-oriented, and strategically minded Backend Marketing & Analytics Lead. You will be the architect and engineer of our marketing engine. Your mission is to build, manage, and optimize the systems, processes, and data flows that turn strategy into measurable results.



Key Responsibilities:


- The ability to analyze data from various sources (websites, social media, email campaigns, etc.) to identify trends, measure campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Process & Workflow Management: Design, implement, and continually optimize internal workflows and client campaign processes for maximum efficiency, scalability, and quality.
- Data & Analytics Mastery: Establish and manage all analytics infrastructure (tracking pixels, UTM parameters, CRM integration, etc.).
- Adaptability: The digital landscape is constantly evolving, so the ability to adapt to new technologies and strategies is crucial.
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all client campaigns.
- Develop insightful, easy-to-understand performance reports and dashboards for both internal teams and clients.
- Calculate and demonstrate Return on Investment (ROI) for marketing efforts.
- Funnel Optimization & Engagement: Develop a profound understanding of marketing and sales funnels (awareness, consideration, conversion, loyalty, advocacy).
- Research and recommend new tools to enhance efficiency and capabilities.
- Collaboration & Project Management: Serve as the data and process hub, working closely with Social Strategy, Creative, and Expansion & QA teams.
- Implement or manage project management systems to ensure smooth handoffs and on-time execution.
- Translate strategic goals into technical and process requirements.


Qualifications & Requirements:


- Proven experience (3-5+ years) in Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing Management, or a similar role, preferably within an agency environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing marketing funnels with a focus on driving real engagement and conversions.
- Expert-level proficiency with web and social media analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, Sprout/Hootsuite Analytics, etc.).
- Strong experience with marketing automation, CRM, and data visualization tools.
- Deep understanding of KPIs, attribution models, and ROI calculation in a digital marketing context.
- Exceptional analytical skills—the ability to see trends, draw insights, and tell a story with data.
- A process-driven mindset with a talent for building and refining systems.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data and processes to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership potential and a collaborative spirit.
